Thank you to everyone who applied for our first annual Infinite Editions Infinite Ideas Scholarship! Our jury had a very difficult time making a decision as we had received so many interesting projects from students all over the country. Were this merely an exhibition to jury, things wouldn't be so hard, but having to choose only one recipient, the decision was quite a bit tougher. Our selection was based on the clarity of the supplied writing, the strong conceptual understanding the student has of their work, and the unique nature of the work itself. With that said, we are proud to announce the recipient of the Infinite Editions Infinite Ideas Scholarship...

... Andy Mattern!!! Andy is currently pursuing his Masters of Fine Arts while teaching photography at the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis. Mattern's photographic explorations offer interesting glimpses into contemporary traces of reality. His images present overlooked, forgotten, and anonymous objects and places, Mattern allows us to contemplate our negotiations of the built world which surrounds us. Infinite Editions is excited to see how this collaboration will manifest and certainly optimistic that our combined talents will deliver some amazing results! Congratulations Andy and thanks again to everyone who participated. Check back for progress reports during the production of Andy's thesis exhibition!
